The book is about a little girl raised with love and affection. Her parents taught her to love, and help anyone and anything if needed regardless of race and how they looked. However, Joanna's parents forgot what they taught their daughter. Joanna being a curious and outgoing little girl she is sad because her parents are not living up to the same values. She has to remind them what they taught her is important. She wants her parents to know that she pays close attention and absorbs every word and detail when they talk to her. Her parents undergo a few bumpy roads before they remember, but with the help of Joanna they will soon.
