Drama students will embark on a journey back into the time of the old radio days. This comedy will open a window to the past for the young and bring back memories to the parents, grandparents and yes even great/grandparents. Broadcast Blues will take everyone back to the dress and sounds of 1938 and relive a moment in time before TVs, PCs, CDs, DVD's and the net. When entertainment was brought into the living rooms by radio. The stage is turned into a working radio station of the day, with radio actors, a soap opera and a lively game show with the audience. The year is 1938, October 30. Radio is in its hay-day. The competition for air dominance between CBS, NBC, RKO as well as all of the smaller stations in the area, was as high pressured as big business could make it. This radio season was make or break for one of those stations, radio station COD, a small station in a large market. The setting is a 1938 in the city of New York.
