Craig Johnson is a news anchorman who accidentally kills a woman known as Morticia whom he thinks is a rich widow, but she turns out to be a suspect in the deaths of two ex-husbands. Her accomplice, Edward Gardner, an ex-Green Beret and a biker, blackmails Johnson and threatens to expose him with a letter to the police. Dr. Lynn Silver, a psychic, comes on Johnson's news program to analyze the Morticia murder case, and they become romantically involved. Will Johnson, a Lieutenant in the Naval Reserve and a SEAL, be able to outwit Gardner and escape arrest and win the beautiful psychic without her sensing his guilt?
