Jacob's Dream
Matthew Spence
After 7-year-old Jacob is visited by the ghost of his deceased mother, he is filled with a longing to understand her visitations and the vivid dream which follows them. Max, Orrie, and Nathan, a group of boys who call themselves The Widow's Tribe, assure Jacob that ghosts, as well as many other spirit creatures, dwell within the forest surrounding their neighborhood. Attracted to their devilish antics and fascinated by Nathan's knowledge of the spirit world, Jacob readily becomes a member of the Tribe. But when Nathan's interests turn to a darker magic, Jacob is forced to abandon the only friends he's had since his mother's death. Jacob's Dream is a coming-of-age tale where dreams and reality intertwine, uncovering the hidden meaning of death and the redemptive power of spirit.
