Rachel DeConti's life is at a stand-still. More than three years have passed since a devastating hurricane destroyed her family's farm in southern Florida, forcing them to relocate to the west coast. Aside from her favorite horse, Promise, and her successful career as a Thoroughbred jockey, Rachel has nothing else in her life that brings her any joy. She is trapped in her past, unable to let go of her first love and others that she lost back in Florida. With gentle encouragement from her family and a new friend, Rachel takes an opportunity to return to Florida and slowly begins the healing process.
