Welcome to the Show

Late 1999, I got this crazy idea that I wanted to write a book. Thus began the journey of, "Welcome to the Show." The name of the book has evolved and so has the poems throughout the book. Like most poets, some of the entries are taken from real life experiences while others are purely fictitious. "Welcome to the Show," chronicles my journey through the early years in the Army, my time in college and the recent passing of my father. It contains poems of a varied nature, many of which pushes the creativity of poetry itself. In writing this book, I wanted to create a body of work that reflected the constant fluctuation of one's life in motion. I wanted it to be refreshing, hip and sexy. Some of the wordings are old, playing on themes of years gone by. But throughout the book what you'll find are poems reflecting on my love for life and all the other intricacies that makes it worth living. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the show!!!
