Five Elizabethan Tragedies

This is a companion volume to Five Elizabethan Comedies by the same editor, A. K. McIwraith, who again provides an interesting Introduction and Notes. The plays are Seneca's Thyestes in Jasper Heywood's translation Sackville and Norton's Gorboduc, the first English tragedy Kyd's Spanish Tragedy the anonymous Arden of Feversham, one of the earliest English 'domestic tragedies', sometimes attributed to Shakespeare and Thomas Heywood's A Woman Killed with Kindness.
