Kandahar Gate is a new play by Australian dramatist Stephen Sewell. This feverish "dream play" is loosely inspired by Akira Kurosawa's 1950 film "Rashomon," but transplants the action to contemporary Australia and centres on the death of a soldier in Afghanistan.
