THE Pilgrim From Limuru is the fictional story of Ann Kanini. She embarks on a journey from her country of birth, Kenya, to the USA, to attend her cousin's graduation ceremony in New Jersey. But Ann decides to extend her stay and probably settle in the USA. Her stay in the USA takes her from New Jersey to Washington State, with the hope of getting an American "husband" and legalize her stay. Did she succeed? Find out. Meanwhile, Ann had left her husband, Mwai Tanu, and two daughters, back in Kenya. Will the long distance relationship between man and wife succeed?Besides Ann's tribulations, we meet other Kenyan immigrants in the USA and get a glimpse of how life unfolds for them in their adopted country. The story of Ann is the story of millions of immigrants all over the world and the emotional and psychological effects that immigration brings to the lives of the immigrants.
