Along a quiet stream flowing gracefully through a lush valley stands the modest kingdom of the Lowlanders, thriving from the many riches the land has to offer. High above them in a pretentious Citadel on Press Mountain resides the nefarious Clansmen, ambitious to pillage the land. On the foothills between the two is a mysterious cabin where neither realm dares to go. On a cold dark night twin sons are born, innocent and pure, though caught in the clutches of a manipulated fate, they share the bond of a rare phenomenon. One born man, one born beast they are torn apart; one to be raised proper, while the other is left to die. Bestowed with powers, the beast lives and as the twins grow to maturity they find themselves drawn into the turmoils of a war foretold by an age-old wizard. As the twins grow closer to reuniting, questions arise until the reason behind their very existence unravels, and what is thought to be, essentially is something else.
