Stories of a forty-five year paramedic. They range from touching to ridiculous, there are stories of poor providers, amazing patients, lives lost and saved. For those not trained in medicine, you will learn of many diseases, how they are treated, and tricks of the EMS profession. For those in medicine it will be a look at what is often the first contact the patient has with the system. Since this goes back to the early 1970s there is much history of how it was "back in the day" and how it has changed to current EMS. To round out a life spent in various services there are stories of Army, police and fire and a sprinkling of other things. Most are short stories making it easy to read for a few minutes and put down or to sit with for hours.
