Pretty Sad Volume 2 is an anthology about the extraordinary strength of women. This volume highlights the journey of 13 women: Arisha Nabors, Chastity Estrella, Chavonne Hurdle, Cynthia Jones, Grace Sanchez, Jamila Johnson, Kimberly Caston, Melissa Brown, Melissa McGill, Melissa Palmer, Natasha Robinson, Rai Tremble, and the Lead Author, Tanya DeFreitas. Each woman will personally take you on her journey of abuse, hurt, pain, disappointment, and struggle. The tears are only temporary as the same women share their experience of enlightenment, hope, discovery, resilience, and victory! More often than not, women suffer in silence when it comes to abuse and other traumatic events. Somewhere along our journey of growing up, we are taught "what goes on in this house, stays in this house." We are expected to keep secrets, to keep our mouths shut, and to cover up the truth. Pretty SAD is a part of the Time to Tell movement and has opened the door for the truth to be told.
