The final part of The Gadgie Trilogy finds us still in 1990, still in Edinburgh but now in the depths of winter. Young Gadgies, Jimmy and Wee Harry, are planning a day in their local boozer, The Gunner, in the city's Muirhouse area which is in the grip of poverty and an AIDS epidemic but whose younger people have taken solace in a burgeoning music scene and football teams that may let them down but will ultimately shape their lives. Along the way they meet a string of colourful characters, revel in tales of The Hacienda, Bryan Robson and local lunatics whilst uncovering revelations that will ultimately join the dots of their pathways in life and provide answers to the big questions
