The Pool: Arrival (Volume 1) Mr. Brent Knowles 1e uitgave

When Miranda is forced by her mother and sisters to leave Earth and cross the universe to the middle-of-nowhere planet her family has owned for generations she's beyond pissed. She fears she will be stranded there. Forever. Or at least the better part of her summer vacation. All because her grandmother decided to die. (Really, no matter what century you live in, a teenager's life is never fair. )And her fears are proven all too real when unseen enemies conspire to shoot her shuttle from the sky. She barely survives the crash landing on the inhospitable planet that has never been officially colonized. Not everybody in her family is so lucky.Stranded in the wilds of the unforgiving planet, Miranda will, for the first time in her life, make her own decisions, without her mother and sisters telling her what to do. She will be thrust into terrifying situations beyond any of her worst imaginings and she will make the most unusual of friendships. Along the way Miranda will discover the strength that has long been hidden within herself and will grow from the superficial child she was into the woman she must become. And she will decide whether the new life she scrapes from the cold ashes of her old is worth living for. Worth fighting for.Worth dying for.The Pool: Arrival is an adventure tale suitable for mature young adults and adults.
