"What is truth?" ... Those familiar words that Pilate rhetorically asked of Christ are as relevant today as when uttered two thousand years ago.



The issue of truth is foundational to a proper understanding of everything in life--faith, morals, government, science, philosophy, society as a whole. Yet, we live in a day when most people seem to think that truth is pretty much "up for grabs." Various polls by both Christian and secular organizations indicate that most Americans no longer believe in absolute truth. As a result, we have largely abandoned a Judeo-Christian and biblical worldview in western civilization.



Sad to say, this is increasingly as true of the church as it is of the culture in general.



This collection of brief essays concerns contemporary issues and matters of truth. These issues are addressed from a Christian perspective, responding to erroneous ideas with biblical answers. However, the overall objective of the book is not simply to deal with specific topics. Rather, it is to present a Christ-centered perspective on all of life, to engage your mind and heart, and to encourage you to examine your own beliefs and values.



If this book helps to strengthen a biblical worldview in the church and assists to reestablish a Christian paradigm in the culture, then it will have served its purpose. To achieve such a goal is an imperative in our world today--for "Truth Matters!"
