While Gloria may be remembered as a significant event in making landfall as a category two hurricane over Long Island and Connecticut, its more impressive stature earlier in its development as a powerful category four hurricane lends itself as a stage for profound reconciliation between two bitter, rivaling super powers. Events ensued as a result serve a catalyst in preventing the thwarting of historical talks that later take place between a Soviet Communist Party leader and a US President that same year. It is only decades later the truth behind such a well-guarded secret is brought to light, and even then a most critical element and no less compelling aspect of it truth, stemming back over six decades, barely escapes the fate of being lied forever in the grave of the man who had been harboring its bitter yet defining memory spanning back to his early beginnings. Inside Gloria enters the stage on a more playful note with a taste of an adult theme before evolving into an account of a family's struggle for survival. Whatever befalls them, all of us presently able to live with the hopes and wishes of tomorrow in a world not left in ruin, and no less poisoned by radiation, can attribute such a hopeful outlook to a legacy left in the wake of their sacrifice.
