The local high school science team celebrates graduation with a day of surfing. A brilliant idea starts them working on a new project, however, a freak storm carries them far away. They land at a remote laboratory where a billionaire scientist, sensing their skills will be useful, urges them to join him in an adventure that may help save the world. They travel from California to Brazil to Russia, plus another location so inhospitable, that few have ever attempted to go there.
