Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is a tropical woody shrub. It is dicotyledonous plant belonging to the botanical family Euphorbiaceae. It is being cultivated as the main source of energy and as the most important staple food crop for over 900 million people of the world. Despite the importance of this crop, production is constrained by different biophysical and socio-economic constraints. Therefore, the detailed descriptions of the genetic variability of cassava based on morpho-agronomical characters illustrated in this book.
