Anukai & Gabryl struggle to the surfaces of worlds 100% worse when they get back to them. So much has changed but nothing will be looked at the same ever again.

As adults around them are crushed by the brutalities of life an oddly-familiar light shines out. Is the place they used to run and hide somehow hidden in hell on earth and seeping out of those on the brink of death and dying nearby?

Or is this just another rudimentary trap designed to destroy their ability to believe beyond what they were born into once and for all?

Are they crazy? Or are they not as alone as they used to think? Is there magic alive and well in the midst of Hell?
Can there be safety in life when home has been nothing but Hell on Earth?

The weight of the world carried by a child comes to catastrophe one way or another.

But in the end, the healing begins with Esthesis.
