Kate Riley has dreamed of College life since childhood, and when she is accepted with a full scholarship to Florida State University, her dream becomes a reality. However, Kate's college experience goes from perfect to petrifying as she finds that she is able to sense and share the emotions of everyone around her. Unable to shut herself away from the world, she meets a mysterious sophomore who seems to have a strange ability of his own. Turning Kate's world even further upside down, he introduces her to his small group of friends, each of whom possess uncanny talents. Working together to find their origins, they soon uncover clues that lead them to something bigger than they imagined. With the support of her new friends, Kate struggles to cope with powers that threaten her dream, her sanity, and her very life.
