A giant leap from boyhood to manhood via the Royal Military Police. This book (volume 1) tells the story of the first few years of the author's army service from training in Chichester to Belfast to London to Germany with a few bits in between. The language is as it was and is often very colourful and not for the faint hearted. In the author's own words, "When I set out to write my memoirs I aimed for 70,000 words. It would cronicle my life in the Royal Military Police where everyone generally spent two years in a posting somewhere in the world before moving on to the next one. Unfortunately I acheived 72,000 words and had only covered half my service."
