Jack Hudson is being blackmailed, which is more than peculiar. Jack has little money and only one relative, his brother, Bennie. Bennie has his own secrets and he can take care of himself. The whole situation began the last time Jack agreed to become a private investigator. Now dark forces swirl well outside of of Jack's small, southern county. Then there are Jack's former girlfriends who can't seem to let go, and swamp Jack with their own deep problems. Whom to trust? Who's on your side? How the hell do you live through this?
