Appearance is the third in the Stasis Legacy series of science fiction novels based on technologies that are emerging today. Avi Park, is a tinkering aristocrat in the colony planted at Tau Ceti by Lara Cameron in Creation. Luna Ramos, is a professor of linguistics. By transferring their brains into cyborg bodies, they assume the identities of alien crew members to counter the alien's colonial aggression. This is a story of invention, espionage, relationships, and combat in the cylindrical lands orbiting at Tau Ceti.
