This book is about a family tragedy that happened in Chicago in 1965. This tragedy changed our lives forever. I wrote this book to tell the story for my mother, who is deceased and was never able to tell the story herself because it was a family tragedy that was not talked about. We all suffered because that elephant was always in the room, but no one had the courage to speak about it till this day. There are family members who only have rumors and partial truths of what took place on October 23 and 24, 1965. Here's the truth from the memory through the lenses of a six-year-old child, who is now fifty-eight years old.
