There Franses a Hermann

These are the memories of a girl in pre-World War II and wartime Holland who caame of age in its aftermath. Many children suffered more than I did, or even more than I could imagine. But this is my story of how I managed to grow up without letting the wartime life around me change or damage my inner self too much. I look back on those years with some tears, but always with love and admiration for my family, even the ones I never knew, but only heard about.
