Sometimes things happen in life... Sometimes things that shouldn't happen, do happen. We have sexual assault victims who are blamed for their own assault. We have physical abuse victims who can go their whole life without someone helping them escape. We have victims of emotional abuse - who are bullied day after day by people who are supposed to love them. All of these are examples of Rape Culture. These events normalize violence, assault, and victim-blaming. Damages Within takes you through the mind of a survivor of abuse and assault and shows what goes on within a relationship, within a family, within strangers, but most importantly, the damages that lie within minds of victims and the struggles they face every day. If first we step into the shoes of others, we will be able to better pave a road for them to walk down.
