The test decides everything. A life of hardship, or prosperity? A life we know, or a life we dream about? Empire tells the story of a young man growing up in a residential Block - a self-sustaining community controlled and constrained by higher powers. Unwilling to accept the harsh life fate appears to have in store for him, he concocts a plan to impress his examiners, to prove he is fit for higher things. The result is everything that he has dreamed of, and more. But, as they say, 'in dreams begin responsibilities'.
