Annie has spent the last six years of her life feeling like something was missing. Her mother passed away, her brother moved across the country, and her father has become aloof and distant.

Annie's boyfriend, Jeff, is always there to help. But lately she's found him less and less interesting - that old spark just isn't there. Seeing him doesn't bring that same thrill, and kissing him is less than desirable.

Christmas is just around the corner, and a new family moves in down the street. One look at the new young woman living there, and Annie can't stop thinking about her. She's cute - more than that, she's gorgeous. And every time she sees Annie she gives her this sly little smirk.

Over the next few days Annie keeps running into her. And then something happens that Annie cannot make sense of.
