Rubear Returns to Algonquin Park
Christopher Dutton
This is the second picture book about Rubear, a little almost-real cub bear who, after being rescued in Algonquin park by the author, has more adventures. In the first book, Rubear was found abandoned and without rear legs. The author made new ones for him out of wood and with these Rubear went on to do great things! In this book Rubear earns some Ranger badges while having fun and learning about camping in Algonquin. Algonquin Park is a beautifull wilderness area in Ontario, Canada. The book also has a Rubear game which young and old can play to race around by canoe and portage. There is as well some coloring pages of Rubear and his new friend Star. Believe or not the little cub also built a full-size ( for him that is) three foot canoe. So the book includes full instructions with pictures on how to build a canoe from cardboard or birchbark.
