Story Summary Using the clever deception of burning money, a group of one hundred year olds escape from their cruel caretakers. This deception earns them the name "Wackos". Two of these Wackos, Bee and Rocko Bop, find a very rare, mysteriously singing persimmon pit. The problem is the pit needs immediate help in order to survive. Advised by Dr. Sanatorium that they must set out to find Waldo the Wise Rocko and Bee endure many trials. Their journey takes them through the Forest of Truth, across the river of Null and Void and into the land of the Itsmines. Along the way Bee looses her beloved Rocko, survives her encounter with Waldo's "guards", and learns that, with help from the right source, life is filled with hope and promise.
