The Lighthouse Keeper
Dixie Adamkiewicz
Rachel Donnelly is a widow, and mother of four grown children, all of whom have moved on to lives of their own. Rachael thinks of life as a game she has lost. She is sitting in her house of memories waiting for the game to claim it's prize. Her daughters decide to take her on a vacation to see the lighthouses the Pacific Northwest. She reluctantly goes seeing no purpose in the trip. During this trip she finds an old ruin of a lighthouse in a place she can only describe as being between Heaven and Earth. A place where perhaps one can re-evaluate ones place in life. For the first time in a long time, Rachels sees that perhaps the game isn't coming for her afterall, perhaps it is simply waiting for her to make the next move.
