Prayers and Poems was written to help myself at first until I realized it could help others as well as me. It, therefore, is to help encourage people in all status of life. The main objective of my book is first, to do God?s will, and secondly, for encouragement for people thru hard times in life. For Example: Dear Lord Jesus, We all fall shortOf the Glory of GodBut all we have to do is askAnd you forgive with an assuring Knod. Barbara A. Ellis Barbara A. Ellis My name is Barbara Ann Ellis. I was born in the capital city of Indianapolis, in the state of Indiana on April 23, 1946. I was one of the first baby boomers after World War II. I was raised in a Catholic family. I was second-born out often children. I attended Holy Cross grade school and Scecina Memorial High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. I did well in school and often times made the honor roll. My favorite courses in High School were: Religion, English, French, Shorthand and art. I started writing at age of 10. At that time, I tried composing songs. In high school I started writing poems, which at that time were not what I write to this day. I began writing Christian poems at age 24. I have always since age of seven been spiritual-minded toward God. In all my ups and downs during my sixty years here on earth, I have kept faith in God through my writings and it gives me great satisfaction to be able to share my beliefs through Prayers and Poems" with others.
