"Joy's book" is a series of humorous and tender stories about the different fears and difficulties that children have in the first years of their life, such as the one that is felt before the arrival of a brother, the one to go through the hole of the bathtub when the water is removed, the death of a loved one, etc. There is no limit to the imagination and everything is possible following the narrative logic of the initial problem. All the stories are made from the child's perspective and the high dramatic content of the situations they face is faithfully reflected in them. In the story "Whiskers", the father woke up a little weird and that day he acts like a child, so Joy has to take care of him, which makes her a little tired all day. Fortunately, everything is solved the next day and her father is the same as usual. A hilarious book about the behaviour of the elders seen from the eyes of the protagonist daughter. Julio Millares won the Vargas Llosa Prize for novels and the Imaginaria Prize for children's stories. He lived in Brazil, Italy, France, Mexico and Sweden before returning to his native Argentina. He is a professor at the Faculty of Arts of the National University of Cuyo.
