Eagles like to build nests in tall trees. The reason for building the nest high in a tree is to protect the young eagles from the predators in the area such as hawks and owls. The eagle facts for kids show that eagles prefer to build their nests high up in trees where there are no other animals or people around. The eagles have a very high degree of mobility and are able to move not only from branch to branch of the tree but also in and out of the foliage on the ground.
