Saudade describes a deep emotional state of nostalgic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. Moreover, it often carries a repressed knowledge that the person will never return. This collection of poetry is written in this state of melancholic longing, and is written for people to understand, to pick up casually or devour in one sitting. It covers sex, drugs, Buddhism and dying gods, old friends and old lovers, and the existential crises that come from being a twenty something human in an absurd reality.
