Convicted for the murder of his famous father when he was fifteen, thirty year old, Danny never had the luxury of a meaningful relationship with a woman. Growing up in prison, he learned to fight like a dog to survive, but little else. Confronted with a new found lust for Correctional Officer Anderson ? Danny composes poetry to help release the strange sensations he feels inside, but doesn?t quite know how to handle. Officer Anderson stumbles across poems he has written, and confesses that she too has feelings for him. The mentality of the Broutal Correctional facility guards, and the prisoners, pits Danny and Officer Anderson against each other within the prison system, as they try to hold onto an illegal relationship that should never have started in the first place.
