The Pride of Life

"Do not love the world nor that which is in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Because all that is in the world - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life - is not of the Father but is of the world." (1 John / Yohanan 2:15-16) How can we as Yahweh's chosen people live a life free from pride? The world we live in valiantly supports living this life to the fullest. Material possessions are prized and many work very hard maintain a living that is above their means.
